ParCenTra is an experiential design consultancy that designs and delivers high-engagement training workshops, presentations, conferences, and group learning experiences for organized groups. Our particular innovation is designing trainer trainings for cascading rollouts for large companies and for regional locations. Our service design is built on our internally developed model, Participant Centered Training.

Based on leading-edge cognitive and adult learning research, our participant centered approach evokes interactive participant engagement, encourages trust and collaboration, and enhances acquisition of complex sets of behaviors. World Bank/Infodev – Global Train-the-Trainer:

In collaboration with the World Bank/Infodev, PCT created a series of Train-the-Trainer courses for Business Incubation Managers that include curriculum design, conducting skills, and learning management. In these courses, participants learn how to transform conceptual material into successful learning designs that are delivered in an interactive manner. These courses have been delivered throughout the world and are continuously adapted to local needs and cultures.

US Department of Labor – developed Training Institute:

Designed and Developed a Training Institute for US Department of Labor to deliver workforce development expertise to state and local governments.

McKesson – Training to Go:

Generated a training design model for Fortune 50 company, as they integrated national and global acquired companies, to introduce tools that ParCenTra Resume 2 would skillfully navigate the changes that were coming – integrated set of planning communication tools that helped them collaboratively manage all the changes.

Genentech – Cascaded Learning:

Developed and deployed a Production/Operations-wide (4000 employees) cascaded learning on accountability for the leading bio-tech company. We designed three, one-hour long sessions with leader-led scripts and animated PowerPoint’s. These sessions, started at the Executive level, were taught/ facilitated in group meetings by each leader/manager to his or her direct reports, who in turn taught their direct reports, all the way to the front line.

Continuing Education for Public Officials (CEPO) – Experiential Training Workshops:

Designed and led Continuing Education for Public Officials (CEPO) trainings for the League of City Governments for more than 10 years. These week-long experiential training retreats take place twice a year and provide the training ground to learn leading edge, field-tested and proven business theories and practices, and a practical, hands-on workshop approach to testing new ones. Participants earn Continuing Educations Units.

Eli Lily – Online Training:

Improved training flow and analyzed and integrated company specific strategies into an online training on Mentoring. Created by a training firm for a large pharmaceutical company (Eli Lily), it had been critiqued for its “academic style” and inadequate culture match. Redesigned course received rave reviews from internal point people, and received enthusiastic responses in beta testing.

Good Samaritan Hospital System – Internal Service Agreements:

Designed and facilitated training workshops and interventions at a large mid-west Medical Center, that developed internal service agreements to improve cross-functional communication and collaboration among highly functionalized departments, between the main hospital and its innovative satellite campus, and between the medical center and its cross-town medical center joint operating partner. These interventions resolved several historical conflicts and increased innovation and collaboration.

Bayer Pharmaceuticals – Executive Retreat to Change Culture:

Designed components and retreat flow for a well-received (98% on the customer report card) three-day meeting of 240 top executives for a fortune 500 pharmaceutical firm (Bayer).

Kaiser Permanent Medical Center – Internal Service Agreements:

Co-designed, with the Medical Center Administrator of a national health care chain, an innovative program on Internal Service Partnering.

Supercuts – intrapreneurial management training:

Directed a team that designed an intrapreneurial management training program for the internal salon managers of a NASDAQ retail chain.

Women’s Initiatives – Micro-enterprise Training Program:

Managed a training project at a nationally known micro-enterprise training program for low-income women entrepreneurs.

First Franklin – Performance Management System:

Developed and delivered a Performance Management System and Application Training for a national innovative mortgage company.

CA County HRD Department – Proactive Team Behaviors:

Designed and delivered a series of workshops — Plays Well with Others — on proactive member behaviors in groups for a CA County HRD Department.

PG&E – Team Development Workshops:

Designed a work group development course for a gas & electric company.
